Attorney–Client Consent Agreement

Effective Date: September 22, 2025

This Attorney–Client Consent Agreement outlines the terms and conditions under which you authorize legal representation for your trademark application. Please review this document carefully to understand your rights, responsibilities, and the scope of legal services provided.

1. Attorney Representation

You authorize the legal professional you select through the platform ("Attorney") to prepare and file your trademark application with the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office (USPTO).

The attorney–client relationship exists exclusively between you and the Attorney. CertPing (Seaionl Inc.) is not part of that relationship and does not provide legal advice or legal representation.

Once you submit the application, the Attorney will send you a separate engagement letter outlining the specific terms and conditions of the representation. You must carefully review and formally accept the engagement letter before any legal services are provided. All attorney communications will come directly from your selected attorney's law firm.

2. Attorney Independence & Conflicts

Representation is subject to the Attorney's review for conflicts of interest and compliance with professional responsibility obligations. The Attorney retains full independent professional judgment and may decline representation if a conflict or ethical issue arises.

3. Scope of Representation

The Attorney's initial representation is strictly limited to the preparation and filing of your trademark application with the USPTO. Any additional services (such as Office Action responses, extensions, oppositions, appeals, etc.) are outside the scope of this Agreement and will require a separate fee arrangement directly with the Attorney.

4. Fees & Payments

Legal fees and USPTO filing fees are collected by CertPing on behalf of the Attorney; the Attorney will receive the payment and process the filing with the USPTO. Any additional legal fees for services beyond the initial filing will be billed separately by the Attorney. CertPing does not set, negotiate, or guarantee attorney fees.

5. Refund Policy

6. CertPing's Role

All legal risk, responsibility, and liability remain exclusively between you and the Attorney.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, CertPing (Seaionl Inc.) disclaims all liability for USPTO decisions, attorney services, or any legal outcomes related to your trademark application. CertPing shall not be responsible for errors, omissions, delays, or disputes arising from attorney services or USPTO processes.
